Kakobuy spreadsheets: five formats, one decision.
The same word covers five different products. Score them on the same four tests and the decision gets easier: what do you need this sheet to do today?
Four tests
- Freshness
- QC coverage
- Link health
- Reading effort
1 = poor, 5 = strong. Scores are ours, dated 2 Nov 2026.
The matrix
Five formats against four tests
A high score is not a recommendation. A search index can win on freshness and still be the wrong place to learn what a QC photo means.
| Format | What it is | Freshness | QC coverage | Link health | Reading effort | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Google Sheet | A raw sheet shared by a creator | Fast to start, hard to keep alive | ||||
| Portal site | A single page with category buttons | Low effort, low depth | ||||
| Self-built catalog | A database with product pages | Best browsing, highest maintenance | ||||
| Search index | A query box over thousands of rows | Widest, but dead links and no QC | ||||
| Video list | A haul or tutorial with links | Great for trust, poor for lookup |

If you came here to…
Browse and compare
Use a self-built catalog with product pages. You need images, categories and a stable URL, not a raw sheet.
Open the catalogFind one specific item
Use search, then verify the row. A search index is faster than scrolling a sheet, but it cannot tell you whether the photo is a QC photo.
Open the QC finder →Learn what a row means
Use the eight-column guide first. A format cannot teach you what a batch name does not prove.
Read a row →Check a QC photo
Use the verdict bands and the checklist. The photo is evidence of condition, not proof of origin.
Read QC →Red flags
Six signs a sheet will waste your time
The title says 15,000 and the hero says 10,000. If the first two numbers disagree, the rest is decoration.
No date, no changelog, no way to check. A date you cannot verify is a claim, not a signal.
Twelve promoted rows before a single category is a directory of paid placements, not an index.
Not fatal on its own, but combined with the three above it means nobody is accountable for the rows.
Click five rows. If two fail, the “verified” label is stale. Link health is the cheapest test you can run.
If the product image does not match the listing, the row is unreliable no matter how good the copy is.
Reuse the method
The five-minute audit
Pick five rows at random. Check the image loads, the product page loads, the price matches, the QC status is specific, and the date is recent. That is it. You do not need a spreadsheet to judge a spreadsheet.
If three of five pass, the sheet is usable for browsing. If four pass, it is usable for a first order. If five pass, bookmark it. If two or fewer pass, close the tab.
Questions
Four questions about formats
Which format should I use?
If you want to browse, a self-built catalog. If you want to check a specific item, a search index plus the partner search. If you want to learn, a guide plus a handful of cards. No single format wins on all four tests.
Why do you score freshness and link health separately?
Because a sheet can be updated daily and still be full of dead links, or stable and stale. They fail for different reasons and need different checks.
Is a Google Sheet worse than a website?
Not automatically. A maintained sheet is transparent and easy to copy. It becomes worse when rows are deleted without notice, links rot, or the owner stops updating without saying so.
What is the fastest red flag?
A title that claims a huge number and a page that shows a different one. If the count cannot survive a scroll, the rest of the page is probably decorative.

The partner index is the catalog. This site is the test you run before you trust it.
