volumetric kg = (L × W × H in cm) ÷ divisor
chargeable kg = max(actual kg, volumetric kg)
lb = kg × 2.20462
A 30 × 20 × 15 cm parcel is 9,000 cm³. At 6000, that is 1.5 kg volumetric. If the scale says 1.2 kg, the line bills 1.5 kg. At 5000, the same parcel is 1.8 kg.
This is why a light puffer can cost more to ship than a heavy hoodie. The line is not measuring your effort; it is measuring the space.

Four questions about the calculator
Why is the billed weight higher than my scale?
Because the line bills the greater of actual and volumetric weight. A light, bulky parcel is charged for the space it takes.
Does this calculator include a price?
No. It calculates chargeable weight. Freight prices change weekly, so the partner estimator is the only current source.
Can I switch units?
Yes. The inputs accept kg/lb and cm/in. The result always shows the chargeable weight in both kilograms and pounds.
What divisor should I choose?
Use the divisor your line states. 6000 is common; 5000 produces a higher volumetric weight. If you do not know, check the line’s rules before you pay.
